chadwick boseman dies

Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman has died after a four-year battle with colon cancer. According to his publicist, he passed away at home surrounded by his wife and family.

In their statement, the family noted, “A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much…From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more — all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. It was the honour of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther.”

The South Carolina born actor had become a hero in the Black community, portraying the likes of Jackie Robinson (42), James Brown (Get On Up), and of course, T’Challa (Black Panther) on the big screen.

Boseman made his big screen debut in the 2018 film The Express: The Ernie Davis Story.
