In SHIFTER’s Best of 2025, our journalist roundtable, including Golden Globe Awards and Critics Choice Awards voters, and Rotten Tomatoes Tomatometer-Approved Critics, has named Timothée Chalamet as SHIFTER’s Entertainer of the Year.
Our process included a first round where our participating journalists completed a form where they could nominate the potential nominees. From the nomination form, a final voting form was created where our participating journalists voted on the winners from the list of nominees. The journalists completed the forms individually and were not able to see the other journalists’ answers.

Timothée Chalamet began the year with a stellar performance in A Complete Unknown, portraying legendary American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan. His performance garnered him a number of nominations, including Best Actor at the Academy Awards, Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama at the Golden Globe Awards, Best Actor at the Critics Choice Awards, and the win for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. He made Oscar history as the first male actor since James Dean to get two Best Actor nominations before 30 years old.
Later this year, Chalamet went on one of the most memorable press runs for his latest film
, Marty Supreme, about a table-tennis hustler. It included viral moments like him releasing a song and music video with masked UK rapper EsDeeKid where he finally ended speculation that he and the rapper were one and the same. Three days before the film’s release, we saw him appear on top of the Sphere in Las Vegas making him the first person to attempt the feet.
To end the year, he once again received Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy (Golden Globe Awards) and Best Actor (Critics Choice Awards) nominations for his portrayal as Marty Mauser. He’s all but guaranteed to repeat as a Academy Awards Best Actor nominee for the second year in a row.
All of this makes Timothée Chalamet a lock for SHIFTER’s Entertainer of the Year.
