For the mid-season finale, Preston isn’t being himself, and Karen and Fatima clash one more time. Here’s our review of Tyler Perry’s Sistas Season 6 Episode 11.
The midseason finale of Tyler Perry’s Sistas is all about setting up the second half of the season by raising new questions and leaving viewers in suspense.
Still high from the night before, Preston is still not being himself. Not knowing what to do, Danni reaches out to Zac for help. When Zac arrives, he finds Preston is a mess.
When Calvin returns home, a despondent Maurice admits he confessed to robbing the bank in order to protect Sabrina. Calvin calls Sabrina and when she arrives, she asks him to not let Que win. When he can’t be convinced to do otherwise, Sabrina and Calvin decide to go with him to turn himself in.
Meanwhile, Zac shows up at the salon with a check for Karen, despite how Aaron feels. Later at the law office, Zac meets with Fatima and a lawyer to talk about gaining custody of his son. Fatima is shocked to find out Zac wants full custody and not partial custody. The tension is broken when Andi comes in to “hang out” with them and avoid Gary.
Karen arrives at the salon and is given Zac’s check. She tears it up before calling Zac. When Fatima answers the phone, Karen offers to come to the law office and shoot her. She sends them an email through Andi that could change things. Karen arrives at the office as Fatima appears to be shot.
Overall, it isn’t a great episode compared to others seen during the season, but it isn’t a bad one either. The episode leaves questions about whether Maurice will actually go to jail, what happened to Fatima, and whether Karen is actually pregnant.
The escalating tension between Fatima and Karen has been a good storyline that should finally come to a head in the second half of season six as we learn about the paternity of the baby. Crystal Renee Hayslett and Ebony Obsidian have done a good job carrying their story which has become the centerpiece of the show.
