TYLER PERRY’S SISTAS SEASON 8 EPISODE 2 RECAP

Credit: BET

The investigation into Gary’s stabbing continues and Zatima are on the case. Here’s our recap of Tyler Perry’s Sistas Season 8 Episode 2.

The “Who stabbed Gary?” storyline continues, and if previous seasons are any indication, we may not find out until well after the mid-season break.

This episode was a bit predictable, simply building on the stories from the premiere without introducing anything new. But it’s still early in the season.

Fortunately, there’s still no sign of Maurice, which is a good thing. He’s too extra and went from being one of the more popular characters to the most annoying.

So without delay, let’s get into what went down. Spoilers ahead.

Robin to the rescue

The episode opens with Robin standing up for Andi, who is still being questioned by Agent Watt. He lets Andi know that Gary is, in fact, alive. Robin goes with Andi back to her apartment. When Robin asks, she’s hesitant to explain why she was marrying Gary. He also wants to know about her relationship with Jordan. When she wants to go see Jordan, Robin recommends she sees Gary instead since the authorities are watching her. Really, it feels like they’re setting up another Andi love triangle, but we’ll see,

Next, the surgeon explains to Hudson that Gary went through six hours of surgery and survived.

Hayden’s a simp

Hayden is on his way out the front door, trying to skip town when Tamara asks where he’s going. He’s mad that she was being a ho and messing around with his friend. In turn, she accuses him of being a simp for thinking Gary was actually his friend.

When she suspects him of stabbing Gary, Hayden turns the tables and explains her motive, including her video of her and Gary having sex. In the end, they agree that they need each other and that neither of them can talk to the authorities. The two seemingly get their relationship back on track after they end up having sex, but we find out Tamara is playing him.

Danni has needs

Meanwhile, Danni is in desperate need of some sexual healing after being interrogated. Unfortunately, Tony isn’t feeling it. He’s worried about her after what she went through.

The next morning Danni is mad, but Tony makes it up to her by making her a nice breakfast. She felt like her trauma was being judged by him. She decides that her mental health is a journey she’ll do on her own (and that when your woman wants sex after a long day, just give it to her).

Rich turns a new leaf

Meanwhile, Sabrina is still in Rich’s arms at her apartment. He gets all frisky and tries to help her take her mind off of what happened at the police station. He wants to get it on, but she can’t for two weeks because of her fertility treatments. She’s also concerned about Andi. Rich lightens the mood with news that he’s going to the fertility clinic to get his sperm samples tested. Still, she’s a little apprehensive. She wants being a parent to be his dream too and not something he’s just doing for her.

Rich wants Sabrina to agree to not stress about the Andi situation at work. She seems to have an issue with Andi for the whole situation with Gary and how she treated Jordan.

The girls move forward

At Karen’s house, Pam is going gaga over the babies, aka Aaronisha and Zacisha. She brought over some coffee and a croissant, but she really wants the tea on what happened with Gary. She also tells Karen that Ms. Willis wants to see the business plan Roots To Riches.

At the Zatima residence, Zac puts together a suspect board so he and “Sherlock Homegirl”, aka Fatima, can solve mystery of who stabbed Gary. Taylor & Taylor Investigations is now a thing.. Fatima fills Zac in on Gary still being alive. She says that Fatima Taylor has a nice ring to it, before Zac calls her “Thug Life”. Hilarious..

To close out the episode, Karen, Danni, and Sabrina pull up to Andi’s apartment to check up on her when they see Aaron there and wonder what he’s doing there.
