POPULAR OTTAWA RADIO HOST, STUNTMAN STU, FIGHTS LEUKEMIA, RAISES FUNDS AND AWARENESS

Stuntman Stu launches Stu Strong

This February, popular Ottawa radio host, Stuntman Stu, announced on Facebook that he was diagnosed with Leukemia. The community leader that he is, he decided to not only fight the disease for himself, but to use this as an opportunity to raise awareness and funds for research in partnership with the Ottawa Hospital and the Ottawa Senators.

According to stustrong.ca:

In February 2016 community leader and MAJIC 100 morning show host ‘Stuntman’ Stu Schwartz was diagnosed with Leukemia. He immediately began his treatment at The Ottawa Hospital and within a few short hours inspired the #StuStrong movement.

Without hesitation, the Ottawa community became highly motivated to give as a show of support for not only Stu, but for so many others who are impacted by cancer each and every day. Stu’s video blogs shared via Facebook and Twitter have quickly inspired many patients battling their own cancers.

At Stu’s request, we are helping direct community efforts to the area of The Ottawa Hospital that matters most to him: Leukemia and Stem Cell Research.

You can help by either taking part in Run for a Reason #StuStrong team during Ottawa Race Weekend, attending a special Ottawa Senators game night, joining the #StuStrong team during The Ride, buying #StuStrong merchanise or simply donating.
