PORTER AIRLINES APPROVED TO FLY TO BARBADOS, ARUBA, AND THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

Porter Airlines

Canada’s Porter Airlines has received CTA approval to offer scheduled service to Barbados, Aruba, and the Dominican Republic.

On March 26th, the Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA) approved Porter to offer flights to Barbados, Aruba, and the Dominican Republic, issuing licenses for scheduled services to these destinations. This joins previously approved licenses for Costa Rica, Jamaica and the United Kingdom announced back in June 2025.

Porter isn’t new to the Caribbean. They introduced long-haul service to Nassau, Bahamas and the Cayman Islands last December from Toronto and Ottawa, followed by the introduction of flights from Montreal to Nassau on February 5th.

These announcements and expanded services to the Caribbean come after Porter began offering long-haul service from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) in February 2023 after adding the Embraer E195-E2 aircraft to its fleet.

No launch dates for flights to these new destinations have been announced.
