THE 61st GRAMMY AWARDS : 6 OF THE BEST CELEBRITY STYLES FROM THE GRAMMYS

Here it is, the night where the best musicians and recording artists in the world are rewarded for their work. For us fashion lovers, the Grammys are also an opportunity to get some well-needed fashion inspiration. For the 61st edition of the Grammy Awards, celebrities once again brought their best suits and dresses to the red carpet. While some went for a classic and timeless look, others decided to take some risks. Here are six celebrity styles from the Grammys.

1. Black is always chic

For an event like the Grammys, black is always a safe bet. The South Korean boy band  BTS knows that with each member of the band  elegantly wearing a black Dior tuxedo.

Miley Cyrus made the same colour choice wearing an oversized black blazer with a deep neckline (very feminine) and large lapels which gave it a really modern look. She paired it with black cropped, flared pants, looking modern, young and fresh.

2. The “more is more” dresses

“Less is more”. We’ve heard this expression many times. Well, forget about that for a minute and think “more is more”. Last night, Bebe Rexha was wearing a red ball dress with tulle and more tulle making her look like a princess. Same goes for Ella Mai who appeared on the red carpet with a majestic blue gown. Sometimes all you need is some volume and frills.

3. Classy coloured suits

Canadian singer Shawn Mendes stepped out in a chic blue suit with large peak lapels and a black shirt. Simple and efficient. Charlie Puth walked the red carpet in a double-waisted brown suit paired with a red shirt. I love this touch of colour giving dimension to his general look.

4. 2 dresses, 1 colour

Camila Cabello, nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album, posed on the red carpet with a sparkling pink dress. The structured shoulders and the turtle neck gives this Armani Privé piece a very modern and unique twist.

With the same colour but different style, Zuri Hall arrived in a beautiful pink fan dress. This colour complimented her skin tone with perfection making her even more beautiful.

5. Silver is on trend

Silver is one of the most trendy colours at the moment. Modern and easy to match, Dua Lipa and Lady Gaga the colour for the 61st Grammy Awards ceremony. Dua Lipa was wearing a floor-length metallic silver dress revealing her body shape. Her narrow waistline was highlighted by a beautiful bodice extending into a long train. Singer and actress Lady Gaga, known as much for her music as for her style, arrived on the red carpet wearing a sequin silver Celine dress making her shine in front of the cameras.

6. The sculptural dress

This is one of my favorites. For sure, it was one of the most original dresses on the red carpet. Janelle Monae’s gown was impressive from head to toe. More than a dress, this was a work of art.

Now that you got all the inspiration you needed, you’re ready to be the most chic and outstanding person at your next party. Whether you go for a more classical style or a completely original and colourful one, remember the most important thing is to choose an outfit that fits your body shape and makes you feel like the king or queen you are.

Now tell me, which style from the 2019 Grammy Awards was your favourite ?
