Spelivia prepare for their big day and Jordan receives an offer he might not be able to refuse. Here’s our All American Season 6 Episode 14 recap.
We’re one episode away from the moment we’ve all been waiting for for the past six seasons. Wedding preparations are underway on tonight’s episode of All American as Spencer and Olivia are on the verge of walking down the aisle. We’re in for another time jump as the episode takes place five months after the Superbowl and Spencer proposing to Olivia.
So without further adieu, here’s our All American Season 6 Episode 14 recap.
Bad luck for the bride and groom to be
The episode opens with Spencer coming home and meeting Liv at the Baker house with a big hug and a lot of boxes. She shows him that they got their first gift and questions whether opening it is bad luck. Spence opens it anyway because a gift is always a gift and it’s a weird one with as set of new knives. Liv is more rattled and is further convinced of bad luck when Spencer breaks a mirror.
Jordan’s Choices
Layla and Jordan are at the Beach house where Layla shares the news that they just need to accept the offer they put on a home. Jordan is having a hard time accepting all the choices before him, including job offers he hasn’t decided on. We learn that he pivoted from the NFL to focus on his health and has been getting job offers as a result.
Mama Wars
The mamas are at breakfast with the happy couple discussing plans when they get to talking about their speeches. It soon turns into a fight over who will end the speech at the rehearsal dinner. Later, Laura catches Grace getting help from Denise which turns up the tension between them. This tension could never last because these two are simply too connected to let this get between them. Grace shares her speech with Laura, recalling how they have all navigated their lives together. The mamas decide to share their speech and give us a beautiful moment at the rehearsal dinner.
Motherly advice
Liv’s bad luck streak continues when Spencer sees her in her wedding dress, but of course Spencer reassures her that nothing will stop them from getting married. She then talks to her mom about the dress and her mom helps her realize that the dress se chose may not be the final dress for her. Later, when Spencer is questioning things, Mama Grace offers her wisdom from her own marriage, as well as advice from Billy. Spencer is reassured and seeks to help Liv through the planning. As Spencer and Liv try to relax, that is soon interrupted, but in a good way by Jordan’s gift, reminding them of when they solidified their love.
Meeting Coach Bobby
Spencer is later summoned to South Crenshaw by the new high school coach, Coach Bobby, who wants to acknowledge Spencer for his latest donations to the school. He also uses that time to get Spencer on his side in helping to convince Jordan to take a coaching job at the school.
It’s Party Time
Meanwhile, Coop, Asher, Layla, Jordan and Preach are on the planning committee for the bachelor/ bachelorette party. Jordan visits Preach to finalize the plans and Preach uses the time to talk to Jordan about one of his offers— being the next coach at South Crenshaw. Preach reminds Jordan of his father’s legacy and that he would be a great choice for the kids. Jordan leaves that conversation still questioning.
The bachelor/bachelorette party is Vegas themed, but with Liv and Spencer’s request for no strippers ,they are left a tame magical show. When the magicians uncover the lost engagement ring, Liv is now able to relax so Coop and Asher bring in the real entertainment and the party is saved.
Dinner and Memories
With the rehearsal dinner up next, more bad news comes when Dillon and the grandparents are not able to make it that night because of a storm, but the dinner gives everyone a chance to take a walk down memory lane. Coop is so proud of Spencer, Asher is able to share a moment with Liv, Preach makes it a point to thank Layla for her contributions to the community through Layla’s Lounge, and Liv and Jordan have moment.
It ain’t over ’til it’s over
The episode closes with Layla and Jordan realizing they are still looking for what feels like home. In true All American fashion, the last two minutes are Spelivia’s where they unwind, but are quickly thrown into another obstacle when the venue is ruined.
At this point, we only have one episode left before the end of the season. If we’re looking carefully we can almost see where the next season is headed, but I’m not focused on that. Spelivia is getting married and we will most likely see a beautiful walk through their relationship next week. I Do Part 2 airs next week.
All American airs Mondays at 8pm on the CW.
