TYLER PERRY’S SISTAS SEASON 7 EPISODE 5 RECAP

Zac asks for a DNA test and Gary is spiraling out of control. Here’s our recap of Tyler Perry’s Sistas Season 7 Episode 5.

Some may disagree, but as the season evolves, the writing is actually pretty good. The first few episodes were iffy with the time jump, but they recovered.

Tensions are rising as Gary spirals out of control. As the scenes for next episode show, all relationships will be tested (even Zatima) and the seeds are sown during this episode.

Overall, episode five was another good episode so let’s take a look at what went down this week.

Zac requests DNA test

The episode opens with Zac asking Karen for a DNA test. With Karen getting offended, she asks him to leave. That’s when Trey steps in. When Zac doesn’t take to Karen’s “new man” getting involved, it looks like something’s about to go down.

Miss Lisa keeps the peace and escorts Zac out while Trey gets Karen a bottle of water. Probably feeling guilty about encouraging Zac to get a DNA test, Danni calls a toast but she’s a little under the influence.

Zac goes home and fills Fatima in on everything with Karen. She vows that Karen won’t get a cent of Zac’s money until they get a paternity test.

Miss Lisa lends Karen some money, but wants to know her plan in case things don’t work out at the salon. She encourages Karen to do the DNA test so money wouldn’t be a problem. Meaning, so she can get money from Zac.

“Don’t cut your nose off to spite your face.”

At the office, Andi tells Fatima it was the wrong time for Zac to ask Karen for a DNA test and that he can’t afford a run-in with Trey ahead of their custody hearing.

Gary’s downward spiral

Meanwhile, Gary is losing because Jordan is making strides in his political campaign. Him and his hacker are conspiring to leak a story.

Hayden calls Gary and tells him about Fatima asking Andi if Jordan has any dirt in his past. Hayden gets concerned when feels as though Gary will make up dirt against Jordan and warns him to not let things get out of hand.

Later, Jordan and Andi go out for dinner where Andi asks Jordan if he has any dirt in his past. When they leave a coke-sniffing, downward spiraling Gary is watching them.

Maurice finds love?

Maurice is at a party waiting for his new love interest, but he’s a little pessimistic.

Danni confronts her past

Danni is in her next therapy appointment where we learn that she ended up with the wrong guy. She tells her therapist about the situation with Preston and Jonah, and casually mentions running him over. During the appointment, we learn about a previous abusive relationship.

Later, at work, Danni is acting weird around Tony after her therapy appointment. He asks her to not shut him out. After wanting to be alone, she asks him to come over to her place.

Sabrina wants what she wants

Sabrina stops by Rich’s juice bar where he shares his expansion plans. When a mother walks in with her baby, Sabrina is distracted. She confides to Rich that she has decided to freeze her eggs. It causes some awkwardness, but Rich agrees with her decision in case things don’t work out between them. So basically if things work out between them, she should sacrifice what she wants and if it doesn’t work, she can go have kids. Tone deaf.

Sabrina is also getting some stress at work. Paige is figuratively looking over Sabrina’s shoulder, questioning one of her accounts and driving her crazy. Maurice thinks Paige is trying to set her up.
