Gary is hiding more secrets and Andi and Sabrina seek promotions. Here’s our recap of Tyler Perry’s Sistas Season 7 Episode 4.
Tyler Perry’s Sistas returns with a great episode as the heat around Gary increases, Andi and Hayden go head-to-head, and the ladies navigate their new relationships. Maurice also makes his return this episode, although that’s not necessarily a good thing. His character lacks direction, but hopefully he rebounds soon.
Now, let’s take a look at what went down this week.
Tragedy at the law firm
The opens with Mr. Leland’s body being wheeled off in a stretcher after suffering a heart attack. With Mr. Leland out of the picture, Andi is looking to become a managing partner at the firm. Standing in her way is Hayden who is also looking to become a partner. So much for their truce from last week. To help bring her down, he turns to Gary who is somewhat in the clear after the death of Mr. Leland who was the one gunning for him.
Once Hayden gets off the phone with Gary, Fatima comes in asking what they were talking about. She’s onto him wanting to become a partner and puts him on notice that the partnership belongs to Andi. In talking about her family, she reminds him “We don’t make threats, we make funeral arrangements.” Bars.
Gary suspects Andi is behind the FBI investigation and agrees to help Hayden become managing partner. Penelope arrives at his office just in time to hear them plotting.
When Gary leaves to talk to Hayen, Penelope looks around his office for something she can use against him to protect her baby. She ends up finding his passport and calls Andi to let her know that Gary’s been living a double life.
Zac’s paternity test
Zac shows up at the airport for the first time in a long time, reuniting with Danni to get some advice about asking Karen for a paternity test. It’s always nice to see them in a scene together. More of this please. They have such a nice friendship.
When Trey comes in to the salon make a delivery, Karen discovers that he’s college educated and graduated first in his class. When Karen seems surprised after stereortyping him as a “hood nigga”, Trey promises to continue defying her expectations.
Miss Lisa comes into the salon to find Karen daydreaming about Trey. She denies wanting him and explains that she feels a guilty about judging him. After talking to her mother and Pam, she asks whether she’s a snob.
Finally, Karen and Pam are shocked when Zac pulls up to the salon asking for the DNA test.
Sabrina’s promotion?
Sabrina’s supervisor, Paige, continues to nag her and meddle in her business while making lowkey racist statements. Sabrina is beginning to put her in her place when the regional manager comes in to let them know about a new branch manager position at another location that they need to compete for.
Sabrina then heads out to lunch with Maurice at Rich’s juice bar and meets him for the first time. He gives his approval commenting he’s as “fine as frog hair”. He also meets Jordan for the first time when he and Andi walk in for lunch. Maurice asks Sabrina what his red flags are and she lets him know that Rich doesn’t want kids and she always wanted to be a mother.
Will she compromise in the name of love? We’ll have to see.
