From viral moments to streetwear, Kai Cenat is proving there is more to his creative vision than meets the eye. Here’s SHIFTER’s Nyla McEwan with three standout pieces from Kai Cenat’s VIVET.
“What started as another way for him to express himself has grown into a brand that reflects his interests, creativity, and personal development.” -Nyla McEwan
Kai Cenat is a well-known internet personality who has become a major force in the streaming world. As a member of AMP, a collective of content creators, Kai has built a name for himself in the online universe through his energetic personality, entertaining streams and growing influence. But coming back from almost a year sabbatical after his third and last Mafiathon, he has shown that he is more than just a funny guy on your screens.
During New York Fashion Week, Mr. Cenat decided to drop his first clothing line after months of teasing. Sept 12th, he held a fashion show for his brand VIVET. VIVET is a modern fashion and streetwear-based brand that represents the new direction in the world of creator-led fashion.
Over the last year Kai Cenat’s VIVET collection has been the talk around town gaining traction from different groups of people. During fashion week Kai was flooded with support from fashion icon Jaden Smith, who is now the first Men’s Creative Director of Christian Louboutin. Surprisingly after that, ending their two-year beef, he was also greeted with praises from Ye who stopped by the VIVET ComplexCon Booth in Los Angeles, California.
Cenat’s expanded creative vision
Beyond the attention and recognition, the brand has received, VIVET reflects something Kai has been deeply passionate about. I believe that passion can be seen through the work and thought put into each piece he has created. From the designs to the overall aesthetic, VIVET offers a look into Kai’s creative vision and how he is making his mark in the fashion world.
Looking beyond the hype surrounding the brand, the clothes themselves are what really caught my attention. Three pieces in particular stood out to me, each offering a unique feel and a distinct sense of style that sets them apart from the typical streetwear aesthetic.
Three standout pieces from VIVET

Raglan Zip Up Jacket
The first piece that caught my eye was the Raglan Zip Up Jacket, which is a hand-washed vintage leather with a cracked, distressed appearance. What stood out to me was the double zipper the jacket had at the front. I believe it adds uniqueness to the piece and separates it from more conventional streetwear designs.

Balaclava Sweater
While the first piece caught my attention because of its double zipper, the second stood out for a completely different reason. Its unique wool-knit aesthetic and tan color give it a distinct look, setting it apart from the grungy feel of the other pieces. The Balaclava Sweater has a more relaxed, laid-back feel, making it seem like an easy, everyday piece that can be styled for different occasions.
“…it’s my culture of my mom being Trinidadian, a lot of their faces were covered and only showed their eyes.” -Kai Cenat
Kai says he took a lot of inspiration from his Trinidadian culture for the design of this piece. He said, “it’s my culture of my mom being Trinidadian, a lot of their faces were covered and only showed their eyes,” speaking on the unique fact that the hood turns into a mask, only allowing you to see the eyes.

Cross Black Leather Jacket
The third piece, however, was just as interesting, standing out to me because of its leather cross design. What I particularly liked about the Cross Black Leather Jacket was how defined the logo and crosses are, with the rhinestone detailing adding an extra touch that allows certain parts of the jacket to stand out. I love how these small details bring attention to the design without taking away from the overall look, further demonstrating the creativity behind VIVET’s collection.
More than a streamer
Beyond the designs and overall aesthetics, VIVET represents a different side of Kai Cenat that audiences may not always get to see. Stepping away from streaming gave him the opportunity to explore other creative avenues, discover more about himself, and put that energy into something outside of the online world. His mental health also played an important role in his creative journey, highlighting the importance of taking a step back and allowing yourself the space to grow.
With prices ranging from $100 to $400 and current discounts offering up to 50% off, Kai Cenat’s VIVET gives audiences a chance to explore his vision through fashion. What started as another way for him to express himself has grown into a brand that reflects his interests, creativity, and personal development. As Kai continues to explore life beyond streaming, it will be interesting to see how his experiences influence his future designs. If VIVET is any indication of what he has planned, we can only wait and see what Kai Cenat has in store for the fashion world next.
