Gary is missing, Zac feels left out, and Hayden is acting up, again. Here’s our Tyler Perry’s Sistas Season 8 Episode 10 recap.
Gary is MIA
Gary shows up at Andi’s house looking disheveled. Apparently, he couldn’t stay in the hospital any longer and needed to see Andi. He needs her help and is the only one he can trust. He even rode a motorized bike to get to her. That’s an odd detail.
Andi calls Hudson to tell her that Gary is at her place, but he’s pissed off and assumes she checked him out of the hospital without his permission.
While Gary is eating, Robin calls saying he’s downstairs. As Andi’s attorney, he wants to know who is at her place. He’s upset to know Gary is there. When Robin comes up, Gary doesn’t remember who he is. She explains that Gary lost his memory after having a seizure, but Robin isn’t buying it.
Hudson wants to take Gary back to the hospital, but he’s feeling a bit woozy and doesn’t want to go with him. He agrees to go back when Andi agrees to visit him after she finishes working with Robin. After Gary leaves, Robin is kind of pissed off that Andi appears to be falling for Gary’s narcissistic bullshit. But Andi calls Robin out on his narcissism and accuses him of trying to get more power at the firm. Andi reminds Robin of her accomplishments and that she doesn’t need to be saved. She puts him in his place and decides to take back her place at the firm.
Danni needs advice
While at work, Danni is flirting and sexting with Tony when Leonard, Mr. Microaggression himself, starts minding her business. She calls Sabrina to ask for advice in dealing with Leonard after Sabrina had to deal with the white passive aggressive girl, Paige, at the bank.
Tony pays Danni a visit and asks her to go back to his office for lunch, but she doesn’t want to go with him because he’ll want more than just lunch. Of course, Leonard’s nosy self is keeping an eye on them.
Rich pulls up
Rich pulls up at the bank to give Sabrina a gift—a basketball since she used to hoop. It’s a bit of a weird gift from your man, but he wants to see if she can really play.
Meeting of the Baby Daddies
At the salon, Zac finds Aaron feeling the babies kick. Zac and Aaron go back to their old ways, arguing over who is Baby Daddy #1 and Baby Baddy #2. Unfortunately, the babies won’t kick for him. A sign of things to come? When Aaron leaves, Karen can tell that something is wrong with Zac. He missed so much with Michael that he doesn’t want to miss anything with the twins (well, his half of the twins). Before he leaves, Fatima calls which has Karen just a little bit shook. Fatima is only calling about Miss Marie’s investment in Roots To Riches. Karen and Pam are going to visit the law office to discuss some things. Zac is uneasy about Karen meeting with Fatima, but she explains what’s going down.
Later, before getting off the phone with Fatima, Zac gives Fatima the tea about Hayden telling his gym rat friend that Tamara cheated with Gary and that the footage is in his cloud. Zatima conspire to get a hold of the footage and send it to the police.
Mr. Moss, the hater
At the law office, Karen is concerned that Miss Marie will want out of her contract with her and Pam, but Fatima reassures her that everything is good. Momentarily. Hayden soon comes in and takes control of the meeting. He has some concerns about the business opportunity and how it will reflect on Miss Marie’s company’s brand. Hayden says he will be advising Miss Marie to pull her investment because of their lack of experience and the claims that their product burned their clients’ edges. He’s pulling a power trip and beyond insulting, basically saying that they’re ghetto and “hoodrats”, and their product is hair grease for raggedy people. Rude, but what else would you expect from Hayden?
Fatima reminds him that Miss Marie only wanted them to help her do her due diligence and not to make a decision on the deal. Karen is ready to leave, but Fatima asks “Mr. Moss” if she can talk to him outside. Fatima schools Hayden on Miss Marie’s history of living in the projects in Chicago, that her and her girl group’s songs were all about making it out of the hood, and that she herself had a song called “Single Mama’s Blues”. Fatima believes that Miss Marie sees herself in Karen and Pam. Of course, Hayden had no idea. He decides to not advise Miss Marie to pull her investment. From now on, Hayden is removing himself from the file and Fatima will be the point person for Roots To Riches which means Karen and Fatima will be seeing a lot of each other. Pam offers to take them out for drinks, but Fatima has another meeting. They’ll take a raincheck. After Pam steps out of the boardroom, Karen thanks Fatima for dealing with Hayden. They share a long overdue warm moment of friendship. Karen is more than okay seeing more of Fatima. It’s always nice to see Black women being sisters and working through their drama.
This was the first hour of the mi-season finale. The second hour had even more drama as the “Who stabbed Gary?” story continues.
