401 WST TEAMS UP WITH ZACH ZOYA ON “WON’T PUT YOU THRU THAT”

401 WST teams up with Zach Zoya

401 WST is back with their first single of the year “Won’t Put You Thru That” featuring Zach Zoya.

Diverting slightly from their traditional electronic sound, Toronto Raptors’ official DJ 4Korners and producer Ashton Adams join minds to compose a sonically enthralling track. “Won’t Put You Thru That,” reads the minds of lover boys who genuinely care about a woman’s heart.

Zach Zoya serenades the track with his vocals. The Montreal base singer-songwriter and rapper released his freshman EP Spectrum in the fall of last year. The RnB infused project features collaborations with Boi-1da and Matthew Burnett to name a few.

Zoya adds a similar texture to “Won’t Put You Thru That.” As the song comforts the souls of women everywhere, it sonically takes the listeners through a climactic journey by blending RnB and House music in a gradually explosive beat. Inspired by the black origins of House and Electronic music, the ardent duo utilized their talent to reconnect listeners to the authentic roots of the genres.

This isn’t 401 WST’s first successful endeavor as a group. Their debut single “Shh” went on to generate over 68 thousand streams within the first week of its release.  The duo followed up this achievement with the release of their debut EP Our House. This EP showcased their mission through the word play presented throughout the project while paying homage to Black DJs and producers from the 80s and 90s. Since then, Our House has garnished more than 400 thousands streams on Spotify alone.

Representing Ontario’s provincial highway with pride, this duo is clearly on track to establish a long-lasting space for themselves in the music industry while reclaiming the space of House and electronic music as Black, Queer inclusive and liberating for any music lover.

The DJ of over 20 years, and House music enthusiast, originally joined arms to keep people on their feet while guiding them back to what really matters about House music which is “the people, the music and how the music makes you feel.”

“Won’t Put You Thru That ” is available on all major streaming platforms.
