Rising Toronto music stable BEATCAVE inks new distribution deal with Believe Music Canada in support of Toronto Area artists and producers.

Community organization BEATCAVE has officially collaborated with Believe Music Canada, signing a label distribution deal to help independent artists and producers in the Greater Toronto Area get more exposure.

Artists from Toronto, Brampton, Pickering, Scarborough and beyond,  will have access to music resources and services through the different stages of their development, from domestic releases to international campaign management, with Believe’s digital expertise and relationships with major distribution platforms.

At a time when Toronto’s music scene has been poorly labeled with a “crab in the bucket mentality”, a partnership between BEATCAVE and Believe Music Canada will help give artists who come from all walks of life, neighbourhoods and backgrounds the same-level of resources as industry professionals – with an emphasis of R&B, hip-hop, rap, and Afrobeats artists.

As a community organization, BEATCAVE focuses on music experiences through art shows, workshops, songwriting camps and other innovative events. One of the main events called CAMP (Creatives Arranging Musical Projects) was created in 2019 with the hopes of bringing Toronto’s talented music community together to collaborate, instead of compete.

BEATCAVE’s CAMP is one of Canada’s biggest songwriting camps that brings over 100 artists, producers and engineers together to create collaborative music, including Juno winners Charmaine, Töme, and JRDN and rising artists Fame Holiday and Marriott. BEATCAVE has hosted six of these innovative songwriting camps that have attracted local and established music creatives. The goal is to forge new friendships, work relationships and amazing music. Songs recorded at previous editions of CAMP have landed sync placements on U.S. network television, including Starz/50 Cent‘s Power Book II: Ghost.

CAMP 7 is set to take place June 17th and 18th at Lynx Music, and SHIFTER will be on hand to interview artists in attendance.
