On March 4th and 5th, artists, songwriters, producers, and engineers unite at Lynx Music for the BEATCAVE songwriting camp.
Since it was founded in 2019 as a community for producers, BEATCAVE has hosted over 1000 community members at over 25 events. This weekend they’re at it again with their latest CAMP event in partnership with the City of Toronto’s Music Office.
On March 4th and 5th, producers, engineers, artists and songwriters will descend on Lynx Music at 260 Emerson Ave for a two-day educational and creative songwriting camp. The program includes workshops, music creation, networking and more.
There will be 10 rooms where producers will be playing beats for artists as they go from room to room. Engineers will be on hand to record their vocals. Organizers will then use the recordings to create a collaborative tape featuring those in attendance. Any demos created at the camp will be mixed for release on streaming platforms.
Attendees should also be ready to get industry insight to elevate their careers. From 10am to 12pm, there will be workshops led by some of Canada leading industry professionals, including Eric Alper (Sirius XM host and publicist), Jazzfeezy (Music producer), Aaron Ewing (Believe Music Canada), Scott Heela (SONY Distribution Canada), Kwame Boison (Touring DJ, marketing manager), and Rob Wells (multi-award winning music producer).
A number of local breakthrough artists, including Fame Holiday, Lola Bunz, Tome, Mallokay, and Charmaine, will be stopping by to network.
