CHARMAINE BACK WITH HER FIRST SINGLE OF THE YEAR “FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS”

Charmaine

“Chitty chitty bang bang, you get smoked up.” This line is from Charmaine’s new single “Friends With Benefits” and she is indeed smoking her competition.

Yes SHIFTERS, Charmaine is starting off the year strong with a brand new single. As always, her voice is packed with punch and power as she spits about loyalty and taking care of your sisters. The single is perfect for cruising on a late night with your crew, a party playlist or even if you just want to feel refreshed and positive.

The start of the song is slower and more melodic, then hits the listener with an energized beat. When it comes to switching, Charmaine is a master of adapting her flow through tracks. For example, the beginning of “Friends With Benefits” features her rapping with a bold, fierce voice. However, she’s able to quickly change her flow to give more of an R&B, calmer feel. This is a creative move to ensure that the sound doesn’t sound too repetitive as “bop” songs tend to be.

The music video for “Friends With Benefits” is perfectly suited. It has a mesmerizing LED colored neon-style lighting and atmosphere adding to the fun vibe of this track. The hair and makeup is unique and matches the stylish clothing design. This visual component of Charmaine’s release blends with the cover art as well. The cover is a perfect mix of girly and gangsta. The three main figures are “Bratz” doll inspired versions of Charmaine and her friends styled in baggy pants and large boots which contrast with the pink background.

This “bop connoisseur” is back and better than ever with this feel-good, catchy single which dropped February 11. If you go check it out, you’ll for sure have a new track to add to your turnt-up playlist. “Friends With Benefits” is now available on all streaming platforms.
