LIA KLOUD| “Bloody Tears”

This song is beautiful. We’re used to hearing Lia Kloud spitting bars, but on “Bloody Tears” she’s in her melodic bag singing and we love it. The song is honest, vulnerable, and full of emotion. Loving the change in sound from Lia Kloud.

BEBEBOY | “HP”

The triple threat artist, songwriter and producer, Bebeboy, is back with his latest single “HP”. For this one, he goes back to his Latin roots with this Reggaeton track. A great track for the summer, it’s nice to hear international sounds like this coming out of Toronto. This one is getting played on repeat.

JRDN | “Call My Name”

When we talk about R&B in Canada, we have to talk about JRDN. This week, he dropped a video for “Call My Name”. This one is both steamy and beautiful, and the song has a nice groove to it. Another dope release from JRDN.

NTHN | “Guess That’s Love”

Today, NTHN dropped his latest single “Guess That’s Love”. On the song he shows his range as he hits a nice falsetto.

NTHN continues to be one of Canada’s best kept secrets. He can do it all—sing, rap, and dance, and is a great live performer. Definitely an artist to watch.

MISCHA | “Like Me Now”

Leading up to her performance on the big stage at Metro Metro in Montreal, Mischa is back with “Like Me Now”. She changes up flows on the song, including a rapid fire flow and the hook is catchy. This would be a dope track to see her perform in front of a big crowd.

MÉLISSA VALES | “Rolly”

Whoever pissed off Mélissa Vales, thank you. On “Rolly” she is the more raw than we’ve ever seen before. We’ve grown used to R&B vibes with big choreography from the now Toronto-based, Gatineau, Quebec native, but on “Rolly” she’s spitting and we love it!

AQYILA | For The Better (EP)

After dropping big hits like “Vibe For Me”, “Hello” and “Pressure”. Toronto singer-songwriter, Aqyila, is back with a six-song EP titled For The Better, including the aforementioned singles. Also take in “We Keep On”. It sounds like it belongs in one those classic 90’s, 2000’s Black love storiesLove Jones soundtrack vibes. Her vocals are so clean and her delivery is so smooth.

JESSIE SIMMONS feat. DJ VELVET AND JOE GEZ | “For You” Remix

The Caribbean and Africa connect as Haiti’s Jessie Simmons, Congo’s Joe Gez and DJ Velvet come together for the remix of “For You”. Simmons and Gez’s vocals go together seamlessly on the track as two of Ottawa’s Afro-Caribbean vocals, and one of Ottawa’s rising DJ’s, drop some heat in time for the summer.
