Today, Jay-Z, considered by many to be the greatest rapper of all time, celebrated his 50th birthday. The rapper, who got his start as sidekick to fellow Brooklyn rappers Jaz-O and Big Daddy Kane, joins fellow hip-hop mogul P Diddy in the 50 Club. Diddy turned 50 years old on November 4th, exactly one month ago.
Jay-Z celebrated the milestone by re-releasing his complete music catalogue on Spotify after a two-year absence. Hov is, of course, the owner of rival streaming service Tidal.
Spotify shared their excitement for the re-release earlier today tweeting:
Happy birthday, Hov ?

This was a big year for the billionaire hip-hop mogul. In June, he became the first rapper to be added to the Forbes billionaire list. Then in September, he announced his controversial partnership with the NFL at a press conference with commissioner Roger Goodell.
