Airborn
Coming Down
Release date: December 7, 2019
Shot and edited by: 3FIFTYCO

The production team at 3FIFTYCO is back with another video this month, this time for Airborn’s track “Coming Down”. The video features Airborn alternating between the studio and a parking with his crew. It’s a simple concept with the quality we’ve come to expect from 3FIFTYCO.

Dynamic aka Ya Favourite Lightskin
My Throne
Release date: December 11, 2019
Directed by: Quest (Dreamland)
Edited by: BrownGuyMadeIt

MC and radio host Dynamic, aka Ya Favourite Lightskin, continues to be one of the most productive artists in the capital dropping another video in December.

For the visuals for “My Throne” he once again tag teamed with Gatineau producer and videographer Quest of Dreamland. The video features the rapper in front of some downtown Ottawa landmarks, including the Shaw Centre (formerly Ottawa Convention Centre) and the Oscar Peterson statue. We also see Dynamic standing in front of the light displays at the National Arts Centre and the Ottawa Arts Gallery which creates some cool effects.

Arty Warhol
I Knew It
Release date: December 18, 2019
Shot by: Duava

In December, of the city’s most talented artists, Arty Warhol, dropped some visuals for “I Knew It”. The video is slightly reminiscent of the visuals for his 2018 track “Big ‘Ol Beamer”. It’s pretty simple, featuring Warhol in his car and neighbourhood.

Quest feat. Hevve and Dip Black
Cobain
Release date: December 21, 2019
Filmed and edited by: 3FIFTYCO

If you thought last decade was the era of the producer you wouldn’t be wrong. The decade saw a number of producers, from Mustard and Metro Boomin to DJ Khaled and Zaytoven release albums and other original music. Gatineau producer Quest has continued the trend with “Cobain” featuring Hevve and Dip Black. This also happens to be the second entry on our roundup from 3FIFTYCO and the first collaboration between 3FIFTYCO and Dreamland.

Shot in Carleton Place outside of Ottawa, this video has the most special effects of the videos on our roundup. The flows and cadences from Hevve and Dip Black are ridiculous, but what else would we expect from this duo.

Bobby Brugal
Samo
Release date: December 22, 2019
Filmed and edited by: Stainvisualz

Bobby Brugal, formerly Cashtro Crosby, hinted at some new music being on the way and he delivered some just before the New Year. Filmed and edited by Stainvisualz, the video for “Samo” features Brugal in front of the Ho Ho Chinese Restaurant on Carling Avenue. We have a few homies and alcohol who make an appearance. We also see a live painter doing her craft; a contrast to her gritty surroundings.
