STEPHEN VOYCE AND JAKO TAKES US TO THE PROMISE LAND

Stephen Voyce

The man who claims to be born on the moon and raised on Mars, Stephen Voyce, releases a remix to his 2020 single “Promise Land.”

Infusing the single with House-Dance soundtrack, “Promise Land (Remix),” narrows in on the message of claiming where you belong while embracing your purpose. The remix is produced and in collaboration with JAKO, a Las Vegas-based DJ and music producer. The two met on Instagram back in 2018. After bonding about each other’s sub-genres of House music, including Dark Pop and Electronic music, JAKO feel in love with original “Promise Land.”

“I wanted someone else to remix it, and I knew I wanted it to be her; Because, I knew she was going to take it somewhere so different and yet it will maintain the appeal and feel of the original,” Stephen Voyce said in a recent Instagram Live interview with Shifter Magazine.

Since then, the two have build a friendship and continue to collaborate. JAKO is known for DJing at some most prominent nightclubs in the U.S. The music producer has been co-signed by Tiesto, Calvin Harris, Chris Lake, and Green Velvet, amongst other EDM artists and music producers.

“Promise Land” was initially released in December of 2020. The upbeat house tempo sonically shadows the likes of Micheal Jackson with a modern techno twist.

“Promise Land Remix” is the second release of the year for the 2017 Notable Award Canadian Breakout Musician nominee. His first single released this year, “Clean,” is a mellow song with a guitar melody. The hollow track features his best friend and frequent collaborator, Jess Arban. “Clean” is one of many singles the two have collaborated on thus far; other singles include “Not Your Type,” “Wild One,” and “Molly.

Over six years, the dream chaser has received multiple nominations and awards for his music and songwriting skills. As his audience continues to grow, Stephen Voyce is one to watch in the house music scene.
