HAVIAH MIGHTY LAUNCHES A BLACK-OWNED BUSINESS GIVEAWAY

Haviah Mighty

Following the launch of her new mixtape, “Stock Exchange”, Brampton-based artist and producer, Haviah Mighty is now looking to give back to the community.

Haviah Mighty recently launched an initiative where she will be donating $10K to a variety of Black-owned businesses to help them further expand and thrive. Business owners are asked to text (647) 424-3490, where a form will be sent with a few questions in regards to the business they want to promote. This will then confirm their entry in the giveaway.

Black entrepreneurs will be invited to pitch their business ideas – existing and future, big or small – for an opportunity to win up to $1,000 each to support their plan. Finalists will be pitching their ideas or current business in an Instagram Live session featuring Haviah Mighty next month.

Winners will be announced shortly after. This is a great opportunity for those who want to develop and bring ideas to life.

Confirmed dates will be announced soon.

The Black-owned business giveaway initiative comes in alignment with Haviah Mighty’s new mixtape, “Stock Exchange” and its message, which is to value systems of both economic and creative forms. The title, “Stock Exchange”, refers to an assessment Haviah Mighty had, internally over the last year, connecting with how artists are forced to validate their value based on random data – such as followers and subscribers – and losing a part of the authentic human-to-human universal experience of art.

“These statistics that we use to compare ourselves to others and to define our successes, have become proof of our worth. It’s all perception,” explained Haviah Mighty.

“These ideas around perceived value got me thinking about the Stock Exchange. Seeing parallels between the way it flows – the constant rising and falling – all dictated by the general public’s perception of an entity’s value, and ultimately how that influences the moves that we make as individuals,” She adds.

Take some time and listen to Stock Exchange, available on every streaming platform.
