According to a new study by Authority Hacker, Bajan music and fashion icon, Rihanna, is the fourth most influential celebrity in America.
A new study by Authority Hacker has found that Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Elon Musk are among the more influential celebrities in America. The study analyzed the top 50 most followed accounts on Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube resulting in a list of 90 celebrities who were ranked according to average monthly searches on Google.
Rihanna came in at fourth on the list with 2.43 million Google searches each month in America. The study goes on to state that the music and fashion icon is among the top five most searched celebrities in 46 out of 50 states. This was no doubt bolstered by her 2023 Super Bowl performance where she also announced her second pregnancy.
Taylor Swift was the most influential celebrity with more than 4.5 million Google searches each month in American alone.
Rounding out the top five were Lebron James, Selena Gomez, and Elon Musk who came in at #2 on the list with an average of 2.8 million Google searches each month in America. Musk made news in 2023 after buying Twitter in late 2022 and rebranding it X, and with his implantable brain computer company Neurolink which is set to begin testing on humans. Musk has become as much of a social commentator as an entrepreneur in recent years, appearing on the Joe Rogan podcast and using X to share his opinions on just about anything.
Rounding out the top 10 are Leo Messi, Kim Kardashian, Ariana Grande, Justin Beiber and Billie Eillish.
According to Authority Hacker co-founder, Mark Webster, the study points to the increased influence of celebrities.
“This study highlights the power and reach of celebrities in our digital age. Clearly, musicians have a monumental influence, but it’s also exciting to see a mix of talents, from entrepreneurs to athletes, captivating American audiences.
