We know Cody Rhodes is returning, but there are still a lot of things we don’t know. Here are six 2023 Royal Rumble surprise entrant predictions.
The Royal Rumble is going down tomorrow and the wrestling community is buzzing. There are some things that we do know. Cody Rhodes will be returning. I would’ve hoped that they would keep him as a surprise entrant since that’s the whole appeal of the Royal Rumble. Chelsea Green and possibly Matt Cardona will be making their entrance.
Still, there are a lot of things we don’t know.
Here are six somewhat crazy Royal Rumble surprise entrant predictions.
Dwight Howard
That’s right. If it was up to us, Dwight Howard would be a celebrity entrant in the Royal Rumble. In our fantasy world, Howard steps over the top rope and stands face to face with some of the WWE’s seven foot monsters.
Stephanie McMahon was high on Howard before she left, but we don’t know if anyone else in the company is excited about the former NBA All-Star.
This prediction is a bit of a stretch since Howard has been in Taiwan playing basketball and not training in the Performance Center, but one can dream.
Brandi Rhodes
Maybe WWE management were okay announcing Cody Rhodes for the Rumble because the real secret is that Brandi Rhodes will be in the Rumble. Okay, probably not, but it’s still a possibility. Apparently, she’s be training so it’s not completely impossible that the other Rhodes could be making her return.
Scarlett Bordeaux
Some people sleep on Scarlett Bordeaux as a wrestler because she’s so good alongside Karion Kross, but she’s capable in the ring.
Bordeaux in the Rumble is more probable than our previous two picks so we just have to wait and see.
Naomi
A Royal Rumble return for Naomi would make the crowd pop and create another viral moment for the WWE. In 2020, she returned to the WWE at the Royal Rumble to glowing reviews (see what I did there).
Heck, I’d even consider making her the winner. It wouldn’t be the first time the WWE pushed one of Sasha Banks’ best friends after her departure.
Aaliyah
Aaliyah has been out with injuries, but if recent Instagram videos are any indication, it looks like she’s ready to go.
Aaliyah isn’t quite over with fans yet, but a Royal Rumble return could help.
Randy Orton
Lastly, we have another Superstar who should be coming back from injury. The WWE just isn’t the same without Orton, but he’s been away long enough for us to miss him.
It was reported recently that he won’t be returning to RK Bro alongside Matt Riddle when he returns. Maybe both of them will return with Orton eliminating Riddle to set up a feud.
