Davido and DVSN delivered mesmerizing headline performances at Manifesto 2022. Here’s our DVSN and Davido concert photos and recap.

This weekend, SHIFTER was in attendance as Davido and DSVN headlined the 2022 edition of Manifesto. Although some may have been disappointed that the original headliners, Tems and Jazmine Sullivan, couldn’t make it, the men stepped in and put on passionate and electrifying shows.

Tresor and Juno-winner Charmaine held down hosting duties Friday night with Killa Kels DJing as the opening acts took turns getting the crowd warmed up.

Dylan Sinclair, who is building a name for himself quickly in the R&B scene, wowed audiences (especially the ladies) with his smooth vocals.

Fame Holiday, joined by his go-to hypeman, DJ Natty B, performed some of his biggest tracks, including “Step”. He even brought out his frequent collaborator and cousin, Romeyo Wilson, on stage.  Then Amaal, who exuded class yet sex appeal, brought her sultry vocals to the Manifesto stage.

Lagos native, TOBi, who came out draped in a Nigerian flag, brought his combination of poetic bars and soulful vocals. TOBi not only stood out that night for his artistry but his ability to command the stage and audience with his every word.

Then came, DVSN, the first of the two headliners. From the first note, Daniel Daley had the ladies in attendance transfixed and mesmerized. The spell he placed on the audience continued as he belted out some of the duo’s biggest hits, including “Too Deep” and “With Me”. He took some time to promote their upcoming album, which boasts collaborators like Jermaine Dupri, before singing their controversial new single “If I Get Caught”. With every song, it was as though Daley was making love to the crowd, starting with a little foreplay before bringing them to a climax.

Then the crowd screamed Davido’s name as they waited for the main event. Fans finally got what they waited for as Davido emerged from the side of the stage through a cloud of smoke. Throughout his set, he brought his signature energy and passion as he worked the whole stage. Although fans sang along with the Nigerian superstar from the beginning of the show to the end, his hit “Fall” was the moment everyone was waiting for as the crowd swayed and sang in unison at the top of the their lungs.

While some may have been disappointed with the change in headliners, Davido and DVSN, more than made up for the minor inconvenience. Both are the kind of acts you can see perform over and over again without getting bored, and they proved that again.
