Pi’erre Bourne drops Honeyberry 2, the much anticipated single and follow up to his 2018 release Honeyberry. Here’s a closer look.
GRAMMY award-winning producer and rapper Pi’erre Bourne has released the much anticipated track “Honeyberry 2”.
The sequel comes five years after the release of the original “Honeyberry”, which is a fan-favorite track that has stood the test of time. “Honeyberry 2” is a playful love song about Bourne’s love constantly tripping on him. She claims she doesn’t love him, but Bourne knows deep down she feels differently.
Their complicated relationship is fleshed out appropriately through a relaxed melody that is supported by jovial synths which combine to create a very mesmerizing beat.
The new track comes following Bourne’s latest song “IG”, which released in February and is the start in what is shaping up to be an eventful year for the South Carolina-born artist.
He will be making his debut at Coachella later this year, and is hard at work at finishing his next album, which is expected to release later this year as well. This comes after a busy 2022, where Bourne released both Space Age Pimpin and Good Movie.
Having already worked with numerous famed artists such as Lil Uzi Vert and Young Thug, Bourne has established himself as one of the top producers of the current generation, and there is a lot more to look forward to from the artist in 2023.
