THE LJ AND JAIOFTHERISE DROP NEED FOR SPEED INSPIRED VIDEO “ONE LIFE”

The LJ and Jaioftherise bring fans into a real life game of Need For Speed with their new video for “One Life”.

After the success of “Filthy” and being able to open for the late Pop Smoke, The LJ and JaioftheRise are back to collaborate on another banger. “One Life”, produced by Australian producer PAW, has a heavy bassline and endless bars about indulgence.

“Time and time again, you go through things in life and you realize that you only have ‘One Life’ to live and it’s all about making the biggest impact possible in whatever way you can,” explains The LJ. “It puts things in perspective. So we’re living that one life. Wearing the flyest shit. Smoking the fire shit. You can’t do this in the next life.”

The high-quality video, whose energy combines Need for Speed with Grand Theft Auto, is directed by Toronto’s DameDolo. Drawing creative influence from the Ottawa and Toronto car scenes which is boasted through the video, the LJ and JaioftheRise serenade the lavish cars gliding through the slick rainy streets. One commenter even said the single should be in the soundtrack for the next installment of Fast and Furious. Featuring real street races, neon lights and action, the video reels you in for the ride of your life.

To boost the popularity of the new track, the artists even created a “One Life” challenge, encouraging people to post their cars if they have something dope to share. To top that, the premiere for the single was a private, drive-in screening.

The product of this duo’s collaboration is a perfect summer anthem, reminding us we only have one life to live, so live it.

“One Life” is available now on your favourite streaming platform. Visit the header above to check out the visuals.
