Miami-based Hey Samyr enlists actor and comedian turned artist, Deray Davis, for his new genre-bending second single “RAIN”.
After making noise with his debut single “MOON” featuring NBA champion turned artist, Iman Shumpert, Miami-based Canadian artist and producer, Hey Samyr, returns with his new single “RAIN”. And as the title suggests, things are getting a little wet and wild. The release is a sexy genre-bending track which combines hip-hop elements with R&B soul as Hey Samyr hits a velvet-smooth falsetto.
“‘RAIN’ is about real emotions—desire, vulnerability, confidence—and finding power in all of it”. -Hey Samyr
The songs also comes with some star power. Joining his on the song is actor, comedian, and artist DeRay Davis (The Chi, How High 2) who boasts a dope flow and cadence on his verse.

For Hey Samyr, who co-produced the song alongside Samix, there’s a message behind the smooth and sexy track.
“‘RAIN’ is about real emotions—desire, vulnerability, confidence—and finding power in all of it,” he explains. “It’s the kind of track that lives in the space between bold and intimate.”
The single is unapologetically raw with a nice bounce and late night summer vibes. As summer approaches, Hey Samyr promises he has more music in his clip, so stay turned.
“RAIN” is available on all streaming platforms.
