The Verse is Ottawa’s first and only rap competition show. Eight of the capital’s top rappers will go head-to-head in a March Madness style battle to the finish. But this rap competition is different. There’s no props and no slander, just bars! The goal isn’t to body your opponent; it’s to body a verse.

In each round two rappers will spit a pre-written verse. The rapper with the best verse, including wordplay and delivery, moves on to the next round. The winner will be crowned at our live finale event.

CRITERIA

Contestants must either be currently living in or originally from the Ottawa-Gatineau area
