Chance The Rapper brings nostalgia, fun and Tik Tok sensation Adamn Killa on the Toronto stop of his “And We Back” tour.
It’s been a minute since we last heard from or seen Chance the Rapper but he’s back, bigger and better than ever. Chance The Rapper lit up Toronto with a performance that was equal parts spiritual, celebratory, and deeply personal. Taking the stage at Toronto’s Rebel Night Club, the Chicago native brought his latest album Star Line to life with a show that felt more like a journey of personal growth, social awareness, and gratitude more than your traditional concert experience.
“From the moment the room went dark, the crowd knew they were in for something special”- Rahmel Garvey
Supported by opening acts from his best friend and DJ, DJ Oreo who performed an energetic opening set to get the crowd ready for the show, however, what really got the crowd turnt up was surprise guest and viral Tik Tok sensation Adamn Killa and his crew of miscreants. Another Chicago native who has found massive online fame for his crazy antics, viral dances, and pitchy rap songs that really know how to get people going. The crowd erupted as he took over the venue and made it his own personal playground.

From the moment the room went dark, the crowd knew they were in for something special. Chance stepped out rapping along to the introduction song “Star Side Intro” with stage design mirroring the cosmic themes of the album — a celestial mix of stars, clouds, and lyrics that felt both divine and grounded. Chance seamlessly blended rap, soul, and his traditional Gospel influences, proving why he remains one of hip-hop’s most creative and talented rappers.

Highlights included energetic renditions of “Ride”, “The Highs & The Lows,” and a heartfelt performance of “The Negro Problem” where the arena lights dimmed and fans were educated on the cries and injustices faced by the Black community in his hometown of Chicago and the nation abroad. Chance’s signature positivity and charisma were on full display, often pausing between songs to reflect on faith, family, and trials and tribulation of his decade-long journey in music.

Toronto showed him love right back, with fans singing along and engaging with every lyric and turning the night into a collective celebration. Between songs, Chance also nodded to his Chicago roots while also letting us know that the new album has been accepted by the academy for consideration of Album of the year and Song of the year at this upcoming Grammy’s.
For the encore — Chance performed a euphoric mashup of some of his Acid Rap classics and Coloring Book fan favorites. It was clear this latest chapter is one that showcases his evolution. The And We Back Tour wasn’t just about showcasing his new music but a reminder that Chance the Rapper is still charting his own course, with joy, purpose, and authenticity serving as his guiding light.
