In his Wiz Khalifa concert review, SHIFTER’s Rahmel Garvey says Khalifa, joined by Da Baby, dancehall legend Sean Paul, and DJ Bonics, delivered “a performance for the ages” on the Toronto stop of the Good Vibes Only tour.
There was something in the air at Budweiser Stage on Friday night — literally and figuratively as Wiz Khalifa and friends rolled through Toronto bringing good vibes with his “Good Vibes Only” Tour. Joining him were none other than dancehall legend Sean Paul with support from rapper DaBaby, making for a lineup that felt more like a summer block party than your typical concert.
The evening got started as fans were warmly welcomed with a classic DJ set from Taylor Gangs’ very own, DJ Bonics. Spinning the finest of hip hop and rap classics from the west coast, getting fans hyped in anticipation for the show ahead.

Da Baby opened the night with a surge of energy getting the crowd instantly to their feet. Say what you may about him, but he is a master of his craft, knowing how to work the crowd to bring the energy in the room to a new level.
From the second he walked out, fans were rapping along to favourites like “Suge”, “Rockstar”, and “BOP”. Da Baby worked his way from the front of the house all the way to the lawn section at the back of the venue. Creating opportunities for fans to interact and jump along with the rapper and his team. His set was loud, fast, and a little chaotic — but in the best ways possible. He didn’t just perform; he turned the whole place into his personal playground creating moments the fans and city are surely never to forget.
Then came dancehall legend Sean Paul, who drew his own horde of die hard fans from all over the city. He ran through his hard hitting catalog of classics like “Get Busy”, “Gimme the Light”, and “Temperature”, and had people dancing like it was the summer of 2003 all over again. It was high-energy, and reminded everyone just how many hits this man has in his bag.

Then came the moment everyone in the crowd was waiting for – It was time for the main act. Wiz Khalifa closed out the night with a performance for the ages. Performing a slew of his classic records from over the years, such as “Roll Up”, “The Race”, “We Dem Boyz”, “The Thrill”, and very special and sentimental version of “See You Again” which turned the entire amphitheater into one giant emotional sing-along. His connection with the crowd felt effortless, genuine, and treated the fans more like family than patrons at the show. Everyone in the crowd sang along and danced to every word of every song.
Altogether, the Good Vibes Only Tour lived up to its name. No drama, no filler — just a night full of bangers, nostalgia, dancing, and true delivery of what was promised: Good Vibes Only.
