Danni is conflicted and Zatima get a taste of parenthood. Here’s our recap of Tyler Perry’s Sistas Season 6 Episode 15.
The episode opens with Zatima in the grocery store facing off against Karen who meets Zac’s other supposed child for the first time. After things get hostile, Karen wants to talk co-parenting with Fatima if she’s going to be helping to raise her child. They bring Zac‘s son home and are concerned over him not talking and possibly being hurt. They decide to take him to the doctor. Later, Karen shows up at Zac‘s house with something for his son after learning about how he’s been living. It’s probably the nicest moment they’ve shared on screen yet. Fatima even asks Karen to come in, but she isn’t ready. The next day, Heather brings the police to Zac’s house to get her baby who is ripped out of Zac‘s arms.
Calvin comes home to a silk robe wearing Maurice who wants some company fearing that he’ll be going back to jail soon. They end up talking about his dating issues, choosing the wrong men over and over again, and childhood traumas. They almost get deep and vulnerable before cutting the feel good moment short.
Later, Sabrina comes over to tell Maurice he was right about Bayo after all. Of course, takes some time to gloat. With Bayo threatening to take back the bail money, Sabrina wants to ask Andi for the money, but Maurice won’t go with her. It makes you realize how few scenes Maurice and the Sistas have shared since the show began.
Danni creeps into her apartment to find Preston in bed, recovered from his high. But she’s acting a little weird after her night out with another man. The next day, Preston wants to know if he and Danni are okay after she acted weird the night before, but she denies that anything is wrong.
After leaving Zac and Fatima‘s house, Karen pulls up at Andi’s house as she’s doing yoga. Andi is a bit defensive. She doesn’t know what version of Karen she’s getting. After getting the awkwardness out of the way, they talk about the baby as Karen is finally showing (well, not really) as we learn that she’s two months pregnant.
Karen fills Andi in on Zac and his son, and the conditions he’s grown up in, and Andi fills in Karen on her blind. date. Later, Andi gets flowers from Jordan at the office as she gives Fatima the low down on her date.
Overall, this was a solid episode that shows that Sistas is at its best when Tyler Perry focuses on good storytelling and feel good moments over over-the-top drama. He also did a good job in creating tension between Preston and Danni as it appears another break up could be around the corner and Zac could learn one or both of his children aren’t actually his. But looking at the scenes for next week, it appears we’re in store for another high drama episode.
Tyler Perry’s Sistas airs Wednesdays at 9pm EST on BET.
