Canadian artist 12AM returns with melodic new banger “Showgirls”
Canadian artist 12AM is back with his latest single “Showgirls” and brought fellow Canadian star Pressa and Tyla Yaweh for the ride.
The track features 12AM’s signature smooth and melodic sound. Meanwhile, Pressa who has had a string of features lately on some big street anthems , including “38” alongside Smiley and “Pressure” alongside Dipset legend Jim Jones, switches it up with some smooth vocals of his own on the track. Tyla Yaweh also brings a grittiness and energy to his vocals that melodic yet still street. The trio’s different styles blend together to leave listeners on the edge of their seats.
When asked how “Showgirls” came together, the Ottawa-raised and now Toronto and Los Angeles based artist said, “We made ‘Showgirls’ at Tyla’s crib one night when we had bunch of people over. Everyone there was going crazy for it, and it was that moment we knew we had something special. Then one night I got in the studio with Pressa and after hearing the track he wanted on it right away, it just came together perfect.”
Although 12AM already has a growing list of impressive collaborations, including 24kGoldn and Iann Dior, this may very well be the one to catapult him into a new stratusphere of stardom.
Word has it there’s a cinematic video on the way, but in the meantime you can check out “Showgirls” on all major streaming platforms. Visit the header above to check it out.
