Offset and Cardi B release Jealousy, a spicy new single with a music video directed by Offset himself and starring the musical power couple.
After recent talk about trouble in paradise, Offset has teamed up with his wife Cardi B for his new single “Jealousy”. Produced by OZ, Boi-1da and Jahaan Sweet, the beat has a nice bounce that the power couple have no trouble floating on.
Offset does get a little disrespectful on track rapping, “I’m Michael. I’m not a Jermaine.” Although it could be a reference to his position and standing within Migos, what did Jermaine do to him? Damn.
He goes on to rap about people who fold instead of staying solid.
“‘Fore I bought the Lamb’, I was ridin’ in the Jeep
Five-hundred horses with a stick on a seat
Fuck that nigga, he’ll fold when there’s heat
Go against the code for the dough, boy, you weak”
Before Cardi B chimes in with her girlfriend problems as well.
“Look, ain’t no bitch finna front on me (No)
Bad body bitch with the jumbo teeth
Yellow Lamborghini like a bumblebee
Girl, nobody listen to you ‘less you talking ’bout me”
The song opens by alluding to the rumors about their troubled marriage, but if the music video is any indication, they’re doing just fine.
Directed by Offset himself, the video shows him leaving the house as an angry Cardi B throws her slippers at him. Making a cameo in the video is Taraji P. Henson who plays the role of Cardi B’s girlfriend who gets to hear about all drama. When Offset comes home, there’s some petting and licking going on so it looks like things okay in the end.
