“People On The Move” takes a look at people moving on to new and exciting roles in our community and culture. Today, we look at Randy Reid and Paul ‘Mastermind’ Parhar who are assuming new leadership roles at Toronto’s Hip-Hop and R&B station FLOW 98.7.
Today, Toronto’s Hip Hop and R&B radio station FLOW 98.7(CKFG-FM) announced that Randy Reid and Paul ‘Mastermind’ Parhar have joined the station as Operations and Business Development Manager and Program Director respectively.
“When we acquired the CKFG-FM license it was with the best intentions to serve the community”, expressed veteran broadcaster Neeti P. Ray of CINA Radio Group, “to achieve that goal we decided to go out and get the BEST the country had to offer in the delivery of Black radio.”
Reid, a long time broadcaster and DJ under the DJ Manifest, brings past experience as President of the National Campus and Community Radio Association and CEO/General Manager of VIBE105 (CHRY-FM) and VX3 Exchange to FLOW. Meanwhile, Mastermind, is one of Canada’s most legendary DJ’s and a long time hip-hop radio vet. Most recently, he juggled a Program Director/Content Manager role at VIBE 105 and a Program Consultant role at SirusXM’s Mixtape North, before making his return to the brand he called home from 2010 to 2020.
“We’re thankful to Mr. Ray for entrusting Paul and I with the FLOW brand”, noted Randy. “We are beyond thrilled to present a rejuvenated and culturally aligned product to the client-base and loyal audience throughout the GTA”.
“I’m excited to get going on this new era of FLOW”, Mastermind added. “This brand is important to so many and we know exactly the right sauce to apply in order to get it there!”
Under the deal Reid and Mastermind will resume their respective roles at VIBE 105 and SiriusXM Canada.
