Some of Hollywood’s finest, including Meagan Good and Tatyana Ali, descended on Ottawa, Canada for the 2025 LEADHER Awards.
The LEADHER Awards, presented by RBC, returned on March 8, 2025, in celebration of International Women’s Day. This premier event, hosted at the iconic Canadian Museum of History in Ottawa, honored a distinguished group of global trailblazers who have made outstanding contributions across industries, communities, and society at large.
Hosted by Deiondra Sanders (TV Personality, Daughter of Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders) and Gwen Madiba (Co-Founder Equal Chance Foundation), the LEADHER Awards recognized women who are breaking barriers and challenging norms across fields including business, technology, media, humanitarian work, sports, and education.
This year, LEADHER Awards supported UNICEF and contributed to the establishment of a reproductive care home in Canada for homeless pregnant Black women. These initiatives reflect their belief in the transformative power of collective action to uplift vulnerable communities.

The event united influential leaders from various sectors to celebrate the honorees and inspire future generations of women.
This year’s gala featured an incredible lineup of honorees and distinguished guests, including:

- Don Lemon, Renowned Journalist and Former CNN Anchor
- Tatyana Ali, Actress, Singer, and Entrepreneur
- Nzinga Blake, Emmy Award-Winning Executive Producer
- Barkue Tubman-Zawol, Chief Community Officer, Essence Ventures
- Tamika Tremaglio, Executive Director, National Basketball Players Association
- Tessy Ojo, CEO of The Diana Award
- Haja Sailma Monorma Bah, Minister of Communication, Technology & Innovation, Sierra Leone
- Angeleta Potts, Artist Manager, Accountant, Business Consulting, Real Estate Investor
Rapper NLE Choppa was also in attendance his mother and manager, Potts, as she received her award.
Additional influential figures from entertainment, media, politics, and business were also be in attendance to celebrate the achievements of this year’s honorees.
