Zac and Heather face off and Sabrina and Maurice get some good news.. Here’s our recap of Tyler Perry’s Sistas Season 6 Episode 16.
The episode opens with Heather wanting Zac arrested for taking her son. After talking with her friends, she’s going to try to get even more money from him instead of signing the child support settlement. It looks like a court battle is brewing. When Fatima comes home, he fills her in on the latest with Heather. She suggests they go to family court confirming that a battle is, in fact, on the horizon. Zatima is going to war.
Tamara returns “home” to Hayden’s house to pick up her things. He wants her back and offers to try being a couple for six months to see if they can make it work, but he wants her to sign a postnuptial agreement. After she refuses to sign, Hayden finally gives in.
Meanwhile, Sabrina and Maurice drive over to Andi’s office when the District Attorney calls to meet with her. Both of them fear going to jail. As they arrive at the law office, we get a rare scene with Zac and Maurice. It’s only when you see them on screen together that you realize their character don’t really know each other. Although Maurice is beyond extra to the point that he’s one of the characters who is the hardest to like, it would be interesting to see them share more screen time.
In the end, the DA drops the charges against them, bringing a long time storyline to a close, so we think. We also learn that Sabrina and Maurice may be getting their jobs back at the bank.
Things are looking up for Karen who is in the process of getting her hair salon back. While waiting for the contractor, who may be a new love interested for Pam, to arrive at the salon, Karen tells Pam that Zac is her baby’s father, but she doesn’t seem convinced. While this Zac and Karen storyline is getting tired with no end in sight, Pam getting a love interest would do a lot for the growth of her character.
Meanwhile, things are up in the air for Danni. With another group date just around the corner, she’s all smiles when she meets her coworker and recent date in the parking lot at work. They’re all flirty until Preston pulls up unexpectedly. Danni has some serious explaining to do.
While some fans have found tonight’s episode to be boring, the lack of over the top drama has made the show even more enjoyable to watch in recent weeks. The story seems to be relying less on excessive drama and more on real and relatable human experiences, like the relationship between Danni and Preston.
