Wedding bells are in the air as Gary and Andi’s big day is here. Here’s our recap of Tyler Perry’s Sistas Season 7 Episode 22.
We’ve finale arrived at the Season 7 finale of Tyler Perry’s Sistas and it’s been an interesting season. We’ve had to reluctantly get to know new characters like Jordan, Troy and Tony. Many of us wanted Preston and Calvin back, but eventually the fanbase seems to have gotten used to the new men in the sistas lives (although some fans are still hoping the OG men return next season). Who wouldn’t want to see Danni have to choose between Tony and Preston?
One of the main issues fans had this season was with the writers. For the first time in the show’s history, Tyler Perry stepped back from writing and hired a writers room. Not that that changed anything. Fans weren’t happy with his writing either.
On a positive note, even though Karen has been pregnant forever, the season didn’t feel drawn out. There aren’t many shows that can pull off a 22 episode season, although that’s thanks to a dedicated fanbase.
So without further adieu, let’s take a closer look. Here’s our recap of Tyler Perry’s Sistas Season 7 Episode 22.
Sperm donor drama continues
The episode begins with Rich barging into the examination room to stop Damani from being Sabrina’s donor, but he learns that being a donor isn’t as quick and easy as he thinks. The doctor sets up a new appointment for the next week, but they need to move fast if Rich wants to be the donor. It’s clear that Sabrina and Rich have some things to discuss.
“I love you, but I love the idea of me being a mother more…I have to do everything that I have to do to fulfill that.” -Sabrina
“I want you more than I don’t want kids.” -Rich
Rich says he never wanted to have kids because he never met someone he wanted to have kids with. Now, he wanted to be the father of her kids.
Andi to the rescue
At the law office, Miss Marie is frustrated at the progress on her case. Andi comes in late with damaging information, most likely about her husband’s hidden homosexuality. In private, Miss Marie says she knew Andi would be a superstar and that her and Jordan would be a political power couple. After seeing that Andi was troubled, Miss Marie presses her to tell her everything. When she tells Miss Marie everything about Gary, Miss Marie agrees to handle it.
Before leaving the office, she bumps into Pam and expresses an interest in investing in her business after Pam’s edge cream had her edges edging. She also spoke to the partners at the firm about Andi’s work on her case and agreed to bring all her legal business to the firm. Andi gets called into one of the partners’ offices where he tells her about their intentions of making her partner.
After the meeting, Hayden is salty about Miss Marie and Andi’s girls only meeting. He threatens to tell the blogs about him giving her backshots, but she warns him not to play that game.
On her way home, Andi calls Jordan to thank him for referring her to Miss Marie and that she made partner. She ends up leaving him a message saying she needs to marry Gary to protect him.
Zac wants the smoke
At the Zatima residence, Fatima tells Zac that she visited Gary and things got physical with his security. Zac is ready for all the smoke, but he agrees to do things her way.
Later, after Fatima gets off the phone, we find out that Madam can’t help her with Gary since she’s tied up with other business.
Hayden discovers the truth
At home, Hayden and Tamara are still beefing about him having something going on with Miss Marie, and about her living at his house for free and not cooking or paying rent. Still wondering what she’s hiding, Hayden grabs her phone and sees something that has him a bit shook. It’s a video of her having sex with Gary, moans and all. He throws her out of his house. On her way out, she calls him a “weak ass bitch” just like Gary says he is.
Tony makes amends
Tony comes over to Danni’s house with flowers to make amends and drops the news that his ex-wife is being stationed in Italy and the kids want to go with her. Her kisses her and asks for a few days to help the kids pack.
Wedding night
As the girls all get together (sans Andi), Karen is wondering what’s up with Andi being in love with Jordan but marrying Gary. She’s also still pissed that Gary ruined her baby shower. They’re looking for a solution when Danni suggests they kill him.
They call Fatima to let her know that the wedding is happening tonight (which she already knows since she’s Andi’s assistant and sees her calendar) and to see if she knows anything about why Andi is marrying Gary. Fatima gathers a big red bag with some unknown contents and reminds Zac that they’re doing things her way.
Later, at the wedding, Gary tries to get Andi to sign the wedding certificate, but she sweet talks him to delay. Soon enough, a tearful Hayden calls to find out where he is. Gary invites him to the wedding and Hayden agrees to pull up.
When the girls arrive, Andi doubles down on wanting to marry Gary, but they can tell she’s lying. Jordan pulls up and asks to talk to her alone. He followed Gary’s henchmen to the wedding in order to find her. He got her message and wants to know what she’s protecting him from. She admits to not loving Gary, but backs away when Jordan kisses her. She asks him to take the devotion he has for her and focus it on being the best man he can be. He wants to take her away to start a new life somewhere else. When she says no, he walks off to face Gary.
At the altar, Andi gets tired waiting and goes to find Gary. She does find him, but when she goes, he has a knife through his heart. The episode ends with Andi letting out a fake scream.
As some fans predicted, this is a “Who killed Gary?” mystery that will set the stage for next season. Although we knew this is where the story was going, the execution felt a bit weak after such a long build up. Fans have taken to X/Twitter to share their disappointment with the finale.

Gary’s character truly saved this season tbh lol. He’s the only reason why I’m still tuning in atp, because I don’t look foward to Zatima scenes anymore like I use to.🥴😂 #sistasONBET pic.twitter.com/J6ZMzGWmTL
