MIGOS RAPPER TAKEOFF KILLED IN HOUSTON DICE GAME, HIP-HOP REACTS

Migos rapper Takeoff was killed at 28 years old in an early morning dice game in Houston. Hip-hop reacts to the news.

Atlanta rapper, Takeoff, born Kirshnik Khari Ball, was killed during a dice game in Houston in a shooting early Tuesday morning. According to TMZ, the incident took place after 2:30am at 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston. They were in town celebrating Jas Prince’s birthday.

In a disturbing video, Quavo can be seen beside Takeoff’s lifeless body before yelling for help. A pool of blood is visible near his head. Two other men were also shot.

The real life uncle and nephew duo recently came off the release of their album Only Built For Infinity Links featuring their hit single “Hotel Lobby” as a dispute with cousin and fellow group member, Offset.

The youngest of the group, Takeoff was often overlooked in the early days of Migos, later earning a reputation among some hip-hop circles as having the better flow and bars in the group. He was having a good year in 2022, featuring in Jim Jones track “We Set The Trends” and DJ Khaled’s “PARTY”. He released a solo project titled The Last Rocket in 2018, four years ago tomorrow.

Rappers and celebrities have begun taking to social media to share their reactions and condolences.
