Fresh off his performance at the 2020 Cranium Festival, Ottawa-based artist and producer, Yung Heat is back with his latest single “Blue Flame” featuring fellow Ottawa artists City Fidelia and newcomer eros north.
On this industrial hip-hop and trap music inspired single, eros north talks about “independence, knowing your worth and making sure “independence, knowing your worth, and making sure the people around you match that energy”. Meanwhile, City Fidelia is back in his storytelling bag, rapping about his journey from struggling independent artist to where he is today.
For the trio, the collaboration came together seamlessly and organically.
“I usually record at City’s studio in downtown Ottawa and I hit him up one day about a track I had worked on that I thought he would mesh well with, and I enlisted my long time collaborator eros north as well to add even more local talent to the track”, Yung Heat told SHIFTER.
For the young Jamaican-Canadian electronic and hip-hop producer, his latest single adds to a very impressive resume, including over 11M streams over various streaming platforms, with 9.3M streams on Spotify alone for his remix of ODESZA’s “Across The Room” which got a nod from Billboard Dance as “a perfect fit for your next date night”.
“Blue Flame” is available on all major streaming platforms.
