With support from playlists and radio, 16 year-old Toronto R&B phenom, Quincy Isaiah, is gaining traction with his debut single “System”.
Toronto is full of talented artists looking to make their big break; many of them spending years of their adult life grinding. One artist, however, has begun this journey at a young age. Quincy Isaiah is only 16 years old and has already been gaining recognition from his single “System.” This fresh single has made it on to multiple Apple Music playlists from Breaking R&B to Northern Vibes and has also been featured on CBC’s “The Block” hosted by Angeline Tetteh-Wayoe. For a track that was released less than a month ago, this is light-speed traction.
About a year ago, Quincy Isaiah suffered from a heartbreak which left him unable to speak to the girl face to face. Instead, he took to his pen and paper and began writing the song which became “System”. He was on the brink of throwing out the song, but he then had a successful meeting with a manager after recording it. “System” then started being played by different radio stations. Quincy Isaiah had his first photoshoot for the single and then played it smart by marketing the song to other students in his school.
Quincy Isaiah’s social media has been geared towards this release and he has used his platform to boost the song’s popularity. Thanks to platforms like Instagram and TikTok, it’s easier for young stars to get their music seen. The youth mold the future and this artist embodies the next generation of musicians making feel-good music.
