Things finally come to a head between Danni and Preston. Here’s our recap of Tyler Perry’s Sistas Season 6 Episode 20.
Preston and Danni talk
The episode opens with Preston asking Danni where she was the night before. He’s upset because he was waiting for her to come home from work so they could talk. Unfortunately, Danni doesn’t want to talk and decides to go to bed.
In the morning, Preston wonders whether Danni is ready to commit and whether she only got back together with him because she was attacked. She’s sarcastic and can’t give him a straight answer. After feeling dismissed he unleashes an unexpected “F*%$ you”. Are we about to witness Preston’s villain era in the next season?
Apparently he has bars too. He dropped a good one liner which capped off the conversation ―“You never wanted me. I was just convenient.” Mic drop.
After Preston leaves, Sabrina comes over and Danni fills her in on everything that happened with Preston. Things are looking up for Sabrina who’s going out again with her new man and is heading to the bank to meet with her former boss. Looks like the empty bank is making a return. But what does this mean for Calvin? Nice guys just can’t win on Sistas.
Before Danni can leave the apartment, she breaks down and gets emotional about what just happened with Preston. It turns out she cares after all.
When she gets to the airport, she happens to be arriving at the same time as Tony ―again.
We finally learn that Tony is a Vice-President of an airline and not a counter clerk. He likes to work the counter to know what’s happening in his company. His van was inherited from his dad which is why he does have a new car. It turns out the man has money.
Andi and Karen try to move on
Jordan calls Andi after the whole Gary situation. Jordan reveals that his sister cried herself to sleep. She has questions and wants to talk to Andi, but Andi isn’t ready yet.
When Karen comes over, Andi admits to still being in love with Gary. Before heading out, Andi gives Karen the money to renovate the salon. Karen has trouble taking it, but in the end she does after promising to pay her back.
When Karen arrives at the salon, the contractor, Brian, gives her clothes for his baby. He also throws a curve ball in her renovation plans, suggesting she buy a new building for her salon instead of renting. When he offers to take her over to the new building, Karen initially feels uncomfortable, but finally decides to go with him.
Brian seems a bit too nice, like Bayo did when he was first introduced. I wouldn’t trust him, but the scenes for next week’s episode show they arrive safely at the new property. Looking through Twitter, it seems the fanbase is also suspecting he’s up to something.
Zatima check on Michael
After learning about a domestic issue at Heather’s house where her arm is hurt, Zatima are there to check on Zac’s son, Michael.
The next morning, Zac is up thinking about his son Michael while their lawyer is in court trying to get him custody.
Fatima lets him know about Karen wanting to give Zac clothes for Michael. They are both shocked at “Sweet Karen”.
When Hayden and Tamara leave home, Gary pulls up to give him a document from his private investigator about Tamara being a plant and that Fatima and her cousin were playing him all along. It looks like things are about to get even worse for Zatima, as Hayden vows to destroy Fatima for playing him.
Final thoughts
This episode, there were no scenes with Calvin as Sabrina has a new love interest. Maurice was also absent, but we need a break from him every once in a while since he can be too extra most of the times.
We also didn’t see Aaron. It’s unknown whether his character is done or if he’ll return. Even though he’s annoying, I’m actually starting to miss his character. He added something to the story. Let’s hope he returns just so we can get more scenes with Zac.
