Pique is back with its second season of pioneering, artist-driven, quarterly music and multimedia arts programming, with a season-opener hybrid spring edition on March 19, 2022 in-person at the Arts Court and Ottawa Art Gallery, and available online at thisispique.com.
Produced by Ottawa’s leading independent and underground presenter Debaser, the event will open new horizons with astounding and eye-opening live music performances, visual art, in-person and on-demand online screenings, and interactive web based digital art.
The long list of special screenings, music and art acts for the spring edition includes a performances from KAR33M, an Nigeri-born, Afro-Soul artist from Ottawa who creates narrative-style music using three different voices, providing a unique perspective with each voice. Seiiizi is a self taught emcee, DJ and producer with artistic roots in hip-hop and reggae. Z is a multidisciplinary artist, letting the work depend on what medium feels right in the moment.
The event offers a pay-what-you-can option with a suggested donation of $25-$50. Tickets are on sale now on Eventbrite.
Pique is produced in partnership with a variety of organizations such as the Arts Court, the Ottawa Art Gallery, SAW, Artengine, DAÏMÔN, Digital Arts Resource Centre, IFFO, Ottawa Fringe, Ottawa Dance Directive, Firegrove Studio, Wall Sound, Le Seltzer, Dominion City Brewing Co, Also Cool, CKCU FM, CHUO FM, and Apt613.
